Install Steps
- Download the APK to your Android or Samsung device.
- Allow Install unknown apps for the browser or file manager you used.
- Open the APK and finish installation.
- Open WindRings and grant Display over other apps.
Native Android Download
WindRings Overlay APK
This is the native Android version of WindRings with a real floating overlay window for Android and Samsung devices. Download the APK, install it on your phone, grant Display over other apps, and launch the floating calculator from inside the app.
The stable APK URL is
/downloads/WindRings.apk. If the button opens a 404, the signed APK has not been uploaded yet.
Overlay Usage
- Tap Start Overlay inside the Android app.
- Switch to your golf GPS, scorecard, or any other app.
- Drag the floating WindRings window where you want it.
- Tap X on the overlay when finished.
Before You Upload
Build a signed release APK from the Android project in android/, then place the finished file at downloads/WindRings.apk in this site before redeploying.
Device Support
The native overlay app is for Android and Samsung Galaxy devices. iPhone and iPad still cannot support this kind of always-on-top custom overlay.
